Water Oak Aquatics teaches advanced stroke development and if you want to take your swimming to the next level, you are at the right place.  Group lessons, summer league swim teams, and junior swim leagues are great places to learn the basics such as blowing bubbles, jumping in and returning to the wall, and completing a lap of freestyle.  Basic skills are great for survival swimming but if you want to join a competitive swim team or swim at the middle school or high school level, you will need more than just basic skills.

Our approach to teaching swimming is to use an additive approach. Every skill is broken down into small, digestible parts and then we add the skills together to enhance each swimmer's development. Each swimmer will gain skills at their own pace and our goal is to help each one reach their potential. The focus on training at WOA is swimming smarter, with less effort leading to faster swims and more enjoyment of the water.

Our Philosophy
A swimmer will reach their maximum potential when they acquire the three fundamental parts of swimming.
Endurance, Swimming Technique, and Mental Aptitude

We focus on two of these three areas,  Mental Aptitude and Swimming Technique. Once a swimmer is proficient in swimming technique and has the confidence to believe in their ability, we recommend a swim team in the area and arrange a tryout.  There are several teams that we recommend but all require swimmers to have proficiency in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly and be able to dive from a block. Our goal is to help swimmers achieve this level of skill and help them go beyond proficiency to excellence.
